White and blue transitioning look

Processed with VSCO

Although it is still quite warm here in Athens, the past couple of days have been a little breezy, which is a pleasant change after a hot summer. Going out for brunch on Sunday, I wanted my outfit to embrace the slight autumn vibe, therefore I paired my favorite high-rise Joni jeans from Topshop, with a long, oversized, stripey shirt from ZARA.

I absolutely love this shirt and I was so happy for that change in the weather as it was a perfect opportunity to wear it. I think a loose, oversized shirt is a great staple piece for the transitioning period.  I love matching mine to my favorite jeans or black skinny leggings for a casual, laid back look. I also intend to get a simple white one for more monochrome outfits! I matched my Sunday look to a pair of my favorite white Adidas Superstar sneakers. They are so comfortable for when I walk around for hours and they are just the cherry on the top of  this casual look. Finally, the look wouldn’t be complete without my favorite Michael Kors navy Jet Set Travel bag (review here). I absolutely love this bag and it’s my go-to bag since I bought actually.

I really enjoyed wearing something different from t-shirts and vests for the first time after a long, hot summer. It was the perfect casual, transitioning look for me! What is your favorite look for a slightly autumny day?

7 SHOE TRENDS FOR FALL 2016

Autumn has always been my favorite season; I like the gloomy feeling that takes over when the leaves begin to fall. The chilly and rainy weather is a signal to a change of wardrobe. Coats, boots and jumpers take the place of shorts, t-shirts and sandals. New trends, with new must pieces appear and this just gets me too excited. Apart from all the coats, jeans and dresses, something that has really caught my eye this season, are all the new catwalk shoe trends. From heels to flats, there is something for every taste and every occasion. The 90’s is the biggest influence this fall, with velvet, loafers and mules ruling the catwalk. I can’t wait to try on some of this season’s key fashionable pieces. Inspired by the catwalk and all of my favorite high-end brands, here are some of my favorite shoe trends for Fall 2016.

Rock Ballet flats

Left to right: Valentino, ZARA, Miu Miu
Left to right: Valentino (mytheresa), ZARA, Miu Miu (neiman marcus)

We all love ballet flats. They are my favorite shoes to wear on a daily basis, as they are stylish and comfortable. This year these all-time classic shoes are being revamped. From Miu Miu and Valentino, to Zara and ASOS, studs, spikes and buckles are added to spicen up those girly shoes. A casual everyday outfit can instantly get edgier and fiercer with a pair of these puppies!

Pointy Loafers

Left to right: ASOS, Victoria Beckham, ASOS
Left to right: ASOS, Victoria Beckham (elle magazine), ASOS

Loafers are another very popular type of flat shoes. I love the masculine and feminine dynamic of this style. This year’s loafers get a quite pointy tip, pointy enough to rip your way through the list with the most stylish fashionistas out there. Victoria Beckham’s beautiful black loafers with a middle buckle are a perfect way to sharpen up any look, from professional work outfit to simple casual streetwear. Inspired from the runway, ASOS and Topshop have some beautiful pointy loafers as well, in monochrome and “pony hair” or even with that middle buckle!

Pointe Ballet Flats

Left to right: Marni, Miu Miu, ZARA
Left to right: Marni (net a porter), Miu Miu (net a porter), ZARA

As mentioned before, ballet flats are probably the most popular style of flats. They are the “IT” shoe of this season, in more than one ways. This Fall designers took the ballerina part a little more literally and created some beautiful, pointe inspired shoes, by adding the trademark ribbons that tie around the leg. Weather you choose ASOS and ZARA or more high-end options like Miu Miu and Marni, all girls can feel like ethereal ballerinas this Fall.

Slipper Mules

Left to right: ASOS, ZARA, ASOS
Left to right: ASOS, ZARA, ASOS

Another huge trend of this season are the mule slipper-loafers. They are your basic loafers but with a twist: they are backless (so basically they are mules). It is actually a combination of slipper-loafers and mules. There is no need to mention how comfortable these shoes are and what a casual vibe they give to an outfit. Their variety is huge, from Gucci’s leather mule loafers to ASOS’s and Topshop’s brocart ones, these shoes are perfect for when you don’t feel like leaving your bed in the morning.

Crushed Velvet

Left to right:
Left to right: ASOS, 3.1 Phillip Lim, TOPSHOP

Velvet is one of my favorite types of fabric because if this soft, luxurious feel. This year, with the 90’s trends making a comeback, velvet is one of the hottest trends, not only in clothes but also in shoes. From Phillip Lim’s crushed velvet boots to ASOS’s velvet ballet flats and TOPSHOP’S velvet ankle boots, the choices are many; so pick your pair and get that 90’s vibe on!

Golden Glam

Left to right: ASOS, Gianvito Rossi, ZARA
Left to right: ASOS, Gianvito Rossi (neiman marcus), ZARA

One of my personal favorite shoe trends for Fall 2016 is the golden glam. Golden boots, ballerinas and loafers, without gems or even with gems so we can be a little over the top! And why not? Why not glam up our wardrobe with some precious metal-colored shoes? The simplest and most casual outfit can look like a million bucks with a pair of beautiful golden shoes. I am just so in love with this trend! From ZARA and ASOS flats to Coach and Gianvito Rossi boots, they all look pretty amazing! I know I am definitely adding one or two of these pairs to my collection! What about you?

Block Heel Ankle Boots

Left to right: Public Desire, Chanel, ZARA
Left to right: Public Desire (asos), Proenza Schouler (vogue magazine), ZARA

Ankle boots are hardly a new trend, however, this season designers have paired them with a block heel in a contrast color to spicen up that classic favorite. The shoe could be leather or suede with a metallic heel like the beautiful monochrome Proenza Schouler ones, or with a perspex heel like these cute Public Desire ankle boots. I love how much fun and how bold a simple pair of everyday ankle boots could get just because of that special heel. I believe these shoes are perfect for a casual day out as well as a day at the office. Who said workwear can’t be fun?

I can’t wait for autumn to arrive already so I can incorporate all these amazing trends to my wardrobe. I love each trend although my favorites are the two ballerina ones. I love wearing ballerinas all the time because of their comfort and of how stylish and timeless they are. I would love to know which one is your favorite shoe trend for this fall; the one you can’t wait for!

THE MINIMALIST

PHOTO 1

Although summer is the season of bright, bold and funky colors like coral and fuchsia, I decided to stray a bit from my floral tops and go back to my safe zone of black, white and grey. Those three are my favorite neutral colors, because they can be combined with any other color and you can always dress them up or down. I love the urban vibe of a minimalistic look; its clean, simple cuts are aesthetically pleasing to my eye.

I love this grey top I got from ZARA last summer; grey is my favorite color all year round and I believe that a closet, in order to be complete, should have at least one simple top in those three basic colors. I matched to a pair of skinny, cropped black pants; another basic piece for any wardrobe. This specific pair from ASOS is pure perfection as it is made from a soft, light, stretchy material and can be worn through all seasons. For shoes, I picked my favorite ADIDAS Superstars in white, because they are extremely comfortable and add a more casual touch to the whole look. For me, the highlight of the whole outfit is my little backpack. How adorable is it right? It is brand new from ZARA and I am absolutely in love with it already. Its spacious interior makes up for its small size. It can fit everything my MK Jet Set Travel bag can (my review), and then some. It has a lovely design and can be worn day or night. What I love the most about it is the golden chain strap that comes with it, so you can wear it as a shoulder bag instead of a backpack. I am telling you this bag is a staple piece of a wardrobe. Especially now that petite bags are a huge trend (see Chiara Ferragni). Although I love bold colors and prints for my summer outfits, I love knowing I can always go back to my basics and create the perfect minimal look. Who doesn’t like a few staple causal pieces that just ooze comfort and style?

INSIDE OUT-LINGERIE AS OUTWEAR

INSIDE OUT – LINGERIE AS OUTWEAR

ola

Lingerie-inspired looks have been around for years. Remember Carrie Bradshaw and her slip on dress or the 90’s. Wearing lingerie as clothes has been one of the most controversial fashion trends. You will either love it or hate it. Although I understand how some criticise them of being too revealing, I do like the sexy vibe they have. Matching a sexy, lingerie-inspired item with more casual and everyday clothes, is an easy and effortless way of spicing up your dressing routine. They allow you to be sexy even outside the bedroom. There are many types of lingerie which are worn as outwear. Below I share a few of my favorite ones.

The slip on dress

dress2
Image: www.zara.com
dress1
Image: www.mango.com

There is nothing sexier than an ethereal slip on dress. Sheer, lace or satin, it is still the epitome of sexy. The only important thing is to be careful when picking the length as a too short one could seem a bit too much. A midi, slip on dress with a pair of strappy heels is the very definition of effortless sexy. For instance this gorgeous powder blue Mango dress would look amazing with a pair of white or silver sandals. Sexy yet innocent, it would be perfect for a summer night out. However, the slip on dress can also be worn in the daytime with the right styling. A pair of chunky boots, or ankle boots and a nice bomber or denim jacket would tone it down without taking any femininity away. For instance this lovely Zara floral camisole dress is perfect for a summer day. You can pair it with sandals or ankle boots and a denim jacket for a grunge look. Just don’t forget to be careful with the length of your camisole dress as a too short one could seem a bit too much.

The bralet

bralet1
Image: www.asos.com
bralet2
Image: www.missguided.com

A bralet is another lingerie-turned outwear. It is inspired by bras, but it is not as small and revealing. It is a bit longer and usually the material is a bit thicker. A bralet is also very versatile as it can be worn with skirts, pants and shorts. It channels a feminine and relaxed vibe. I love wearing bralets in the nighttime with a pair of pants and a nice jacket, however, they can be worn in the daytime too depending on the material and length. For instance this lovely ASOS Festival bralet with fringe would look amazing with a nice pair of denim shorts or jeans. On the other hand, this cute Missguided lacy one would look better as a nighttime outfit with a skirt or a pair of pants and a blazer.

The bodysuit

bs1
Image: www.missguided.com
bs2
Image: www.missguided.com

Another type of lingerie-inspired top, besides from bralet, is the lacy or slinky bodysuit. This is actually my favorite lingerie-turned outwear. I love bodysuits way too much! This Missguided sheer bodysuit with the appliqué flowers is simply beautiful! I got it myself and I can’t wait to wear it with a pair of denim shorts and a sheer kimono for a more toned down daily look. However, I can also pair it with white pants and heels for a romantic nighttime look. Another lingerie-looking bodysuit is this black Missguided one with the lace trim on the cleavage. This is a total showstopper; style it with a pair of plain black pants with wide leg for an elegant and sexy nighttime look.

The pijama shorts

shorts1
Image: www.missguided.com
shorts2
Image: www.asos.com

Apart from the slip on dresses and the sexy tops, there are also the pyjama shorts. These shorts are reminiscent of the pyjamas we all wear to sleep. They are usually silky or lacy and have a relaxed vibe. As with all the previous pieces, they are also versatile and can be dressed up or down. This cute Missguided pair of shorts will look great with a crop top and sneakers for a day look, or a bodysuit and heels for a night look. Another pyjama-inspired pair of shorts is this lovely Y.A.S one with the lace trim. It is perfect for spring and summer as it is very lightweight. I love how there is a romantic vibe to it but it can be toned down with a plain t-shirt and flats.

Lingerie as outwear is not a new trend. It has been around for years whereas it dominated the 90’s (see Courtney Love). It may be a very controversial one but I personally love it, because it is a trend that underlines a woman’s femininity and sensuality. The most important thing though, is to incorporate the trend to your life without being tacky and over the top. Picking up a main piece and match it with casual items for an easy everyday look or with more delicate pieces for the perfect sexy nighttime look. Comment down below and share your thoughts on this controversial trend and if you have any favorite pieces share them too. BLUSH-THE SPRING PINK

BLUSH – THE SPRING PINK

ola

Blush pink is a color I have always loved. Maybe it’s my inner ballerina (another dream) or maybe it is the romantic in me, but I always loved this pale shade of pink that is neither too intense nor too faded. It is the pink shade that has a brown hint to it, which gives it an earthly vibe. I really like how easy this color is to match to others and how versatile it can be. It is the perfect color for the in-between seasons like autumn and spring. It reminds me of blossoming flowers. It is a sort of pastel but not really that much. Blush pink is a very popular color this spring and you can find it everywhere, from clothes to shoes and accessories. I love matching it to bronze, rose gold and silver, as these metallic shades are the perfect way to glam up a color that “shy”. Below I share with you guys my 5 favorite blush pink pieces for this spring.

The Coat

I love this loose pink coat from ZARA. It has the perfect blush shade and no buttons, which gives the relaxed vibe of a cardigan or a duster coat. It is not very thick, which makes it perfect for the warmer spring weather. I also love its big pockets, as I always like to keep my phone around instead of having it in and out my purse all the time. A really lovely spring coat!

The Top

This ASOS shirt with the ruffle hem is so cute and perfect for spring. It is lightweight and in a gorgeous pink shade. It has a girly vibe so it might not be for everyone, but I really like girly clothes and it is something you can style day and night.

The Skirt

A flowy, midi skirt in spring’s hot color, is a wardrobe season must. This ASOS midi skirt with buttons in blush is a very versatile piece for your wardrobe. You can style it with almost every color, and it can be dressed up or dressed down. I love pieces that can be worn at any part of the day without looking too much. It is perfect for the warm weather, when you want to wear a skirt which is a little more comfortable than a mini one.

The Pants

Now I am not a pants person; I love jeans, skirts, dresses and shorts but I don’t particularly like pants. However, if I had to pick a staple pair of pants for this season, it would be this ZARA pair of culottes. That is, because they combine two hot spring trends: the color blush and the culottes design. Some people think culottes are unflattering, and to be honest they can easily be, but I believe it is all about how you style them. A pair of flowy culottes is not the easiest piece to style, but with a nice flowy top or a shirt/t-shirt tucked in, they will look absolutely awesome. I like them because they are different from the usual cigarette pants and because of their gorgeous blush color.

The Shoes

A staple pieces list would not be complete without any accessories or shoes. Lately I am really obsessed with the lace up pointy flats. It is a style that has been a hot trend the past year, and I am totally caught up in this. I love how the lace up shoes can be a great alternative to the good old ballerina flats. They give a boho, yet more polished vibe which I love. You can have a very simple outfit but these shoes will definitely draw the attention. I particularly like this Missguided pair of lace up flats in blush, because of the color once again. I just love blush pink and I believe that its closeness to nude makes it a staple color to multi-match this season. Honestly, I can’t think of a better basic pair of shoes for spring than a pair of blush lace up flats.

Spring is a transitional season, where the weather gets warmer and everything gets brighter and more vivid in general. Blush is lovely shade of pink, which associates with the blossoming flowers and the earth, as it is quite close to nude. I really like this color, because it is versatile and therefore, easily styled. It is a girlier version of nude really. The 5 pieces mentioned above, are my favorite staples for this season in the color blush. I hope you enjoy my suggestions and I would love to hear your favorite items in blush or any other color you love for spring. Off-The-Shoulder Trend

OFF-THE-SHOULDER TREND

Every time I see a top with the shoulders exposed, my inner Esmeralda (Hunchback of Notre Dame) awakes. I love the bohemian and gypsy vibes that an off-shoulder blouse gives. Wearing an off-shoulder dress or top, is a very sexy way of showing some skin without revealing too much. It is an elegant and playful look. The off-shoulder neckline has been popular for decades with style icons like Brigitte Bardot and Jane Birkin rocking the style. Lately, with the whole 70’s trend comeback, the off-shoulders tops have been everywhere. They are versatile pieces you can match to a pair of jeans or shorts for a boho look, or to a pair of black pants or skirt for a more sophisticated and elegant look. I love how you can basically dress them up and down. Apart from the tops, equally popular are the off-shoulder dresses. They create a sultry look which I personally love. I am actually an off-shoulder girl more than a cleavage girl. I feel sexier in a midi dress with my shoulders exposed than in a midi dress with low cleavage. Also lets not forget the playsuits. An off-shoulder playsuit is a perfect alternative to a two-pieces look. It channels a very playful and carefree vibe. It is the perfect easy outfit for a day where you just can’t put an outfit together. With spring slowly setting in, off-shoulder tops, dresses and playsuits are a wardrobe must. Below are some of my favorite picks that are perfect for channeling your inner bohemian girl or gypsy queen.

FASHION BASICS-THE CHAIN BAG

FASHION BASICS-THE CHAIN BAG

Image: www.chanel.com
Image: www.chanel.com

The chain bag has always been a statement piece of a woman’s wardrobe. The pioneer who introduced it to the fashion world was none other but the amazing Coco Chanel, who was looking for an alternative, more comfortable way of carrying her bag. This resulted in the creation of the most iconic chain bag, the Chanel 2.55. In my opinion, it is the ultimate elegant bag. It is simple and comfortable, yet classy. Not every look needs to be loud; I always believed that elegance equals minimalism. A flap bag, in a quilted diamond pattern with a double chain strap, can complete any look. Even when you’re wearing a pair of jeans and a jumper or a sweatshirt, carrying a chain a bag will make you look more put together and more elegant. It simply has the power of transformation. Another thing I love about this bag, is that you can dress it up and down. It is very versatile. You can carry it in the daytime but also at night, as the perfect company of a lovely dress and a pair of sexy heels. The bag’s success and popularity have turned it into a symbol of power, femininity and class.

Image: www.moschino.com
Image: www.moschino.com

However, we all know that this bag doesn’t come cheap; it actually worths thousands of dollars. Even though this is a price many are willing and able to afford, there are many others – me among them – who can’t or don’t want to. However, a beautiful chain strap bag is a key piece for many looks and should be part of any wardrobe. If you long for a gorgeous chain bag but at an affordable price, do not worry; there are many quite similar alternatives at a much lower price. My personal favorite that I have, I love, have and I aspire to get in many other colors, is from Moschino. I love that Love Moschino quilted bag with a chain strap. It really reminds me of the Chanel one. It doesn’t have the number of pockets the Chanel has, but it has enough space for all the necessary items I always carry with me. It is light, stylish, simple, convenient and much more affordable. I have received so many compliments on mine!

Image: www.zara.com
Image: www.zara.com

Another, more affordable, beautiful chain bag is the ZARA Chain City bag. It is a beautiful black bag with a heavy chain detail and strap. It is very elegant but with some edge. It is much cheaper from both the Chanel and the Love Moschino ones, but it doesn’t have bad quality. I actually am really fond of Zara’s bags. I like its how stylish and modern its designs are plus some timeless pieces it has every year. The City bag is exactly that; a timeless stylish yet classy bag. And at a great price!

Image: www.asos.com
Image: www.asos.com

Lastly, another even more affordable alternative, would be the ASOS Quilted Lock Cross body bag. It is very similar to the Chanel 2.55, with the quilted design and the chain strap. Very minimal without any details, it stays true to the effortless and simple Chanel style. Plus, it is the cheapest alternative of the three, which is great. Who says that you can be stylish, classy and on trend only if you splurge on it? You can easily recreate the classy and sophisticated Chanel look with this gorgeous bag.

A plain quilted chain strap bag, is an important part of a woman’s wardrobe. It can accompany many outfits, from casual to dressed up ones. It can turn any look into classier and more elegant, without losing the relaxed and effortless vibe. Although the queen of this bag category is the iconic Chanel 2.55, nowadays there are many alternatives of different price ranges. In the end it doesn’t matter how expensive your bag is, but how you carry it. You can always look fabulous and stylish without breaking the bank. Comment down below and share your favorite chain strap bag. Also don’t forget to pop over my Insragram (@blueberrylover) and Twitter (@vickyinlalaland) to say hi!

70’S INSPIRED LOOK

70’S INSPIRED LOOK

12

Although it’s the middle of November, Greece has gone back to spring mode with warm and sunny weather. However, in the nightime it actually gets quite cold and a coat is mandatory. This is a lovely look for transitioning from the warm day to the chilly night. It is inspired by one of the biggest trends of this season, as mentioned on a previous post (see here), which is the 70’s hippie style. The A-line skirt along with the floral – bell sleeve top is a very bohemian combination. The earthly colors of the top are complimented by the forest green shoes and coat, which is also a very hot trend this season. This look is not the boldest 70’s look you can create, but I absolutely love it and I believe it is perfect for those who love the 70’s but are on the milder and more toned down side.

My favorite piece from the look is the skirt; this ASOS A-line high waisted skirt is very comfortable and flattering for my bodytype. It doesn’t emphasize on the hips or thighs and the buttons create a slimming effect. A denim skirt is such a versatile piece and can be work with everything, from tops and shirts to jumpers and hoodies. It is a must have piece for anyone’s wardrobe. The sheer, floral shirt with the bell sleeves is from ZARA and it’s gorgeous. Mustard yellow, brown and brick red are hot colors for autumn and winter. Although I don’t pick them often, I feel like this top compliments me and my reddish brown hair. I love how the sleeves give this boho vibe which this look is all about. I decided to match the outfit with a forest green coat from ZARA that I absolutely love and have for over a year, and a new pair of ankle boots from TOPSHOP in the same color. I believe that forest green, besides being a hot trend right now, it also goes pretty well with the colors of the top and adds a little something to a toned down, casual outfit. Finally, I picked this light brown bag from ZARA, because it seems like it puts the whole look together. Brown and green is a match made in heaven and you can see the color of the bag in the top! This outfit is a great introduction to the 70’s trend. It is quite casual and perfect for a warmer or colder weather! What do you guys think of the 70’s trend? PRETTY IN PINK

PRETTY IN PINK

From left to right: Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada

Pastel pink is one of my favorite colors. I love wearing it or looking at it as home décor. It is a color that for some reason makes me feel relaxed and happy, as I can’t help but associate it with candy ( I have a huge sweet tooth ). Pink is a color someone would expect to find in a spring or summer wardrobe, however, this season it is seen at the catwalk in brands like Chanel, Dolce and Gabbana and Prada. The shades of it vary; from pastel mixed with lavender, to shiny magenta and fuchsia. With pink, it’s important to pick the right shade; something that suits your hair and skin tone and of course something that you like. Don’t go for a total pink look because you risk looking like candy floss. Instead, add a nice pink piece to a wintery outfit and totally transform it. It can be either a clothing item or an accessory!

Some of my favorite pink items are a coat, a purse or a jumper. I love my LoveMoschino powdery pink purse, and my pink woolen coat from H&M (similar) that I got last year. Pairing a pink coat with jeans and a grey jumper is a cute and perfect look for winter. In converse, I love wearing my pink purse with my light grey woolen coat by ZARA`. In general grey-pink combination is one of my favorites! I also love my lavender ASOS jumper (similar) as it really brightens up a dull, casual winter look. But you don’t have to limit yourselves to these items; you can add a dash of pink on your feet with some fuchsia ankle boots like the ones from ASOS or wear a pink dress with a pair of black opaque tights (who doesn’t love a good contrast?)

Pink is such a girly color. It reminds me of sweets and sugar. However, this season, it is a hot trend to mix pink with traditional winter colors like grey, black and even forest green, and create fresh and bright outfits. This pop of color is exactly what this season is all about. Forget the dark, muted looks and make your winter wardrobe a little more sugary and light! Pink splashes don’t make an outfit less edgy; on the contrary, they make it edgier and more interesting! What are your favorite pink pieces and do you wear them in the winter? I would love to see your pink-drop winter outfits, so upload your ootd on Instagram and hashtag #adashofpink. MAC, NARS AND TOO FACED LIPS

NARS, MAC AND TOO FACED LIPS

blog 7 021

Lipsticks are my favorite part of my makeup. Whether it is  a casual day or a fancy occasion, I love going natural and topping it off with a bold lipstick. A flawless face is the perfect base for any lipstick color, especially the ones that are a statement on their own. In the past, almost all my lipsticks were MAC, however, this last year I have discovered brands such as NARS and Too Faced (yes I was living under a rock) and I have fallen in love with them. In this post I am going to share with you guys my favorite lipsticks for this season from each brand, and I am also going to review and compare them to each other. Keep in mind though that all these brands have a place in my heart!

MAC is an old-time favorite brand. I have been using it for quite a few years and I can admit I am a loyal follower. I own many lipsticks (over a dozen), in different colors and of different finish. Although my favorite finish is matte, as I like how soft it is and how it stays put no matter what, the lipsticks I enjoy the most this season have a satin or lustre finish.  These two different types of finish, are the opposite of matte; they are creamy, sheer and a little glossy. The two shades that are my must for this fall, are Amorous and Plumful. Plumful is a beautiful, rose-plum, creamy lustre and Amorous is a gorgeous, cranberry, sheer satin. Both of these shades are perfect for autumn, as dark red and purply rose are this season’s IT colors! MAC lipsticks are easy to apply, have a great color payoff and are quite long-lasting. Also they don’t really stain the lips and they don’t sit on the natural lines of the lips. At the affordable price of 17$, I highly recommend them.

Although I love MAC to pieces, it is not the only brand I have in my heart anymore. Once I read some amazing reviews on NARS Audacious collection of lipsticks, I knew I had to get my hands on those. Therefore, when I got the chance, I added 4 of them to my collection. From those 4 shades, my two favorite ones for fall are Audrey, a beautiful red currant shade, and Anna, a lovely smokey rose shade. These lipsticks, although they have a somewhat satin finish, they are not sheer at all. On the contrary, they have an amazing color payoff, last forever and feel so smooth and silky on the lips. I don’t know what is it about their formula but it is the best formula I have ever tried on my lips. However, they are on the pricey side, as – at 32$ – they are almost twice the price of the MAC lipstics.

Last but not least, another brand I love is Too Faced. The Melted Lipsticks collection is one of my favorite ones and I do own a few shades of those. The ones I love for fall, would be Melted Peony and Melted Berry. The previous is a lovely dusty rose, perfect for a casual neutral day, and the later is a berry red, that literally goes with everything, as it enhances my natural lip color as if I am wearing a tinted lip balm. What I like about them, is that they are different to everything else I own; they basically are liquified lipsticks. However, they are not glossy and sticky like most liquid lip products but more like proper – in the bullet – lipsticks. They are matte and blend in such a wonderful way with the lips. They are very sturdy and last for hours. However, they do sit on the lip lines or dry patches and the Melted Berry, stains the lips a little bit. I wouldn’t change them for the world though. Especially the Melted Peony, is the best pink lipstick I have found, because it actually blends on my lips without fading (my lip color is on the red side). They are also very affordable as they are 21$.

Lipsticks are very versatile products, as they can stand on their own on a bare/natural face or complete an entire full-on look. Plum, berry/burgundy red or even some dusty rose, are the colors that represent this season. They channel the decadence this season is all about; falling leaves, cold weather and cloudy skies. All of the brands mentioned above, have some pretty amazing lipsticks in some lovely shades. Each one has a different style and purpose; NARS stands for luxury, Too Faced for comfort and easy, and MAC for diversity with all the different types of finish that provides. Depending on what you are looking for, I would suggest to go for NARS if you don’t mind splurging a little bit as it has the best and consistent formula out of the three; if on the other hand you want something professional but quite affordable you can never go wrong with MAC. Lastly, if you are looking for something more natural and wearable for every day, Too Faced  would be the perfect choice. Prices differ a lot but so does quality. Overall, they are all really lovely and you will be satisfied no matter which one you’ll choose. Comment down below and share your favorite lipstick brand and shade for the fall!

Till next time take care dolls 😉 xxx
